With the power of parenting comes undeniable responsibility and often requires that we, as parents, navigate through many unknown territories. In a culture that commonly operates in silos, we are also often left raising our children on our own -- with little guidance and support.
In addition to a lack of community and support, we, as parents, also experience common stress factors with our kids, including “back talk”, resistance to chores, sibling dynamics, teen power struggles, and reparenting, etc.
For us to provide the developmentally appropriate guidance our children need, we must first gain awareness of our own internal states.
Parenting is deeply personal. No parenting program can—or should—be for everyone. Our approach at Reflective Roots Institute acts as an invitation, not an instruction manual. It asks for curiosity, honesty, and patience. If all of this resonates, you are in the right place.
